This ridge walk has experienced some terrible thunderstorms - three of us got beaten up by a hailstorm up there a few days ago.
And on the way down to Caltepe, we met a woman in tears. She'd just come from the funeral of two young men, killed right in front of their mother. Lightning had struck a tree which had fallen on them.

So be careful!
