By air
Lycia lies between the airports of Dalaman and Antalya. Charter flights serve Antalya most of the year and Dalaman in the summer season (April – end-October). Turkish Airlines (THY) flies to both airports from Istanbul; most international flights are routed via Istanbul. Sun Express flies to Antalya from Germany (all year round). Thompsons have year-round flights from the UK to Antalya and summer flights to Dalaman. Dalaman airport is a 3-4km taxi ride from Dalaman bus station and town. From there, frequent buses go to Fethiye and Antalya. Antalya airport is 12 km from Antalya bus station and town. Nine Havas buses per day go from the domestic terminal to the bus station and city, but don't go to the old city. Taxis are the best option at night.
By bus
Overnight buses run from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, plus many other places, to Antalya and Fethiye bus stations. Sample times: Antalya-Istanbul: 12 hours, Izmir-Fethiye: 6 hours. Bus travel is cheap and the buses run on time.
