No-one has actually yet done a survey of the trails themselves. However, the following is a list of orchids which have been observed in the area of the Lycian Way and St Paul Trail. Some, such as purple limodore, Anatolian orchid or some helleborines, are quite common; most are rare and some are endemics, only known from this area. The bee orchids are incredibly difficult to identify as they're very variable. Take photos and consult the 'bible' Die Orchidern der Turkei by CAJ Kreutz. NEVER pick or dig up the plants or collect seed or specimens.
